Behind the scenes at St. Bart's, we have a dedicated crew of folks who work to make wonderful things happen. If you are interested in participating, you are invited to contact the head of any team that interests you.

The Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares all items necessary for our worship service. They perform an indispensable service with great joy and competence. If you are interested in becoming part of their team, please contact Mary Scholle.

Daughters of the King

The mission of the Daughters of the King is prayer, service, and evangelism. The Daughters of the King serve both in our larger community and within our church. Please contact Cheryl Harris if you are interested in joining the Daughters of the King.

The Communications Team

The Communications Team works to inform church members and Chatham County residents of our events, activities, and mission. If you would like to join in their work, please contact Dora Owens or Kevin Noel.

The Care Team

The Care Team is a group of women and men who care for the needs of the sick and homebound of our church family. Care Team volunteers provide rides to medical appointments, meals and general assistance on a short term and emergency basis. Please contact the church office for information.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Lay Eucharistic Ministers are lay people trained by clergy and
licensed by the Bishop of the Diocese of North Carolina to administer the consecrated elements of the eucharist. They may also share the sacrament with members of the congregation who are unable to attend church services due to illness or injury. Please contact the church office if you are interested in becoming a lay eucharistic minister.

The Evangelism Team

The Evangelism Team seeks to bring the message of Christ to the community and to the world. If you'd like to participate, please contact Terry Transue.

The Choir

The choir brings the gift of music. If you would like to join in the joyful noise, please contact choir director Nancy Harmon.

The Building and Grounds Team

Coffee Hour Hosts

Coffee Hour Hosts provide refreshments for Sunday churchgoers. Please contact C.R. Townsend if you are interested in joining the team.

Ushers greet members and newcomers before the service; ushers also assist with the service itself. Their hospitality is a wonderful gift to our community. If becoming an usher is of interest to you, please contact Terry Transue.

Lectors read the lessons during services. Please contact Jeanne deWard if you have interest in becoming a lector.

Sunday School

Volunteers assist the lead teacher with supervising the children during Sunday services. The curriculum is informed by Godly Play. Please contact Deb Noel if you have interest.
