FaMILIES AND CHILDREN

Jesus tells us that "whoever welcomes...children in my name welcomes me". With this in mind, St. Bart's offers a warm and joyful home for children of all ages.

Sunday School

St. Bart's Sunday School is open to children from ages 3 to 10. Sunday School meets at 11:00 a.m., during our second service.

Our teaching follows the principles of "Godly Play". Based on the Montessori method of education, "Godly Play" is designed to create in the child a deeper sense of worship and understanding of the Episcopal faith. Join us as we engage with the stories of the Bible and begin lifelong journeys with God. Contact Deb Noel for more info.

Acolytes

Our acolytes assist the clergy with the service. They play an important role in the liturgy, and we are blessed to have a wonderful team at St. Bart's. Children between the ages of 7 and 17 are invited to participate. Training sessions are held three times a year. Contact Jeanne deWard for more info.

The newly renovated nursery room is ready to welcome infants, toddlers, small children...and, of course, parents, too!

Parents' Night

Every now and then, the parents need to have fun, too! Join the other parents of the parish for socializing at one of the restaurants near the church. Free babysitting will be provided at the church during this outing.

Barking Biscuits

Starting in 2023, inspired by the work being done by Community Lunch to feed all members of the community (including their dogs), the children of St. Bartholomew's started a new ministry called Barking Biscuits. The children periodically gather in the Fellowship Hall to make from-scratch dog treats to sell within the town. This has quickly become one of the most successful ministries in the parish history! Contact Dakota Bender for more info.
